Planned Update: Wireless Certificate – Tue 7/7

We will perform our annual wireless certificate update on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, which may prompt you to accept a new certificate the next time you connect to wireless on campus.

This update is part of broader, ongoing initiatives to enhance wireless service across campus. Campus Wi-Fi improvements continue annually as we upgrade wireless access points to enhance coverage and performance. These upgrades aim to provide better security, reliability, and support for the growing number of devices used by our campus community.

WHEN WILL THIS HAPPEN?
On Tuesday, July 7, 2026, IS&T will perform the annual Boston University wireless certificate update.

HOW WILL I BE IMPACTED?
As part of this update, your device may prompt you to accept the new radius.bu.edu certificate. You may only need to accept this new certificate once to continue using wireless services.

If prompted:
  • Remove the BU wireless network options.
  • Reconnect using the eduroam wireless network.
  • For detailed directions on reconnecting or reconfiguring your device, please visit our eduroam page on TechWeb.
For help or assistance anytime, please contact the IT Help Center by sending an email to ithelp@bu.edu or calling 617-353-HELP(4357).

Thank you for working with us as we continue to improve BU’s campus WiFi.
