Description of Impact

We are encountering issues with students being unable to upload videos in Kaltura on Blackboard.

Workaround for Embedding Kaltura Videos in Blackboard Assignments:

Follow these steps as a temporary workaround:

– Navigate to Blackboard, then go to ‘Tools’ and select ‘MyMedia’ (allow application permissions if prompted).

– Locate the video you need for the assignment.

– Select ‘Actions’, then ‘Edit’.

– Go to the ‘Collaborator’ tab to add collaborators. Note: Collaborators must have logged into MyMedia in Blackboard to be added.

– Choose and assign your collaborators.

This method allows sharing videos until the embed functionality is restored.

Current Status

IS&T teams have not yet identified the cause of the incident, but are investigating. Next Update: As soon as available.
