Services Impacted: Echo360 – Classroom Recording Service
Description of Impact
Echo.org, used for classroom recordings, was experiencing a degradation of service. Clients were no able to use the playback functionality nor schedule new recordings. All currently scheduled recordings were not affected. Some Blackboard functions were not available including Inline Grading and SafeAssign. Webadmit was also experiencing degraded service.
Incident Description and Resolution
Amazon Web Services reports that full service has been restored.
Additional Information
The cause of this incident was determined to be Amazon Web Services experienced high error rates with S3 in US-EAST-1, which impacted various AWS services.
