As part of National Cyber-Security Awareness Month, Boston University Information Security conducts an annual Information Security Awareness Campaign. As part of the campaign, BU Information Security, in collaboration with BUMC IT and sustainability@BU will be offering 3 days of free paper shredding and collection of unwanted computing equipment to be securely destroyed and recycled.

Shredding Event days are currently scheduled as:

  • Tuesday, 10/4 from 9-12 – In the parking lot behind Agganis Arena (CRC West: 925 Commonwealth Ave)
  • Wednesday, 10/5 from 10-1 – In front of the Talbot Building (BUMC: 715 Albany Street)
  • Thursday, 10/6 from 9-12 – In the Granby St. Parking Lot (CRC East)

The Information Security team  will be shredding any documents and accepting old hard drives that you bring. This way you can be sure that any sensitive data has been properly destroyed.
