As described in the Minimum Security Standards guidelines, “All BU faculty and staff are expected to be familiar with the Data Management Guide, Data Protection Standards and Minimum Security Standards to ensure understanding of how to handle Confidential or Restricted Use information properly… If you use a personal device to connect to the BU network and handle BU data, you are personally responsible for ensuring that your device meets the requirements.” If you are using a device to read your BU email, for example, you should secure that device with a password.
