Exchange Email will be unavailable Sunday Aug. 23 from 12:01 – 8:00 a.m. EDT

Due to unexpected issues that required rollback of the changes made to Exchange on August 9, IS&T will need to reperform the maintenance work this coming Sunday, August 23 from 12:01 a.m. to 8 a.m. EDT, in preparation for the move from Exchange to Office 365 later this fall. This outage does NOT affect BU Google Mail or bu.edu mail forwarded to another email service.
Exchange email users will not be able to access their Exchange mailbox during this early morning period. Incoming mail will still be received by your mailbox.
The outage will conclude at 8 a.m. Sunday morning, at which point you should be able to receive and send email as before. No change will be required on your part. Those using the web interface, Outlook Web Access (xmail.bu.edu) will see a new login screen (as shown below). Once logged in, your mailbox will appear the same.
