Resolved: Adobe License Tool malfunction

Description of Impact

248 faculty members were erroneously told their Creative Cloud licenses were expiring due to a change in their status at BU.

Incident Description and Resolution

Malformed security group names caused erroneous eligibility removals for some faculty accounts. Criteria has been fixed ensuring no further accounts could be affected. Affected clients were corrected in the AdobeCC License tool and notified of the correction via email. If you continue to have issues, please contact the IT Help Center.

Description of Impact

248 faculty were erroneously emailed that they are no longer eligible for Adobe Creative Cloud

Current Status

IS&T teams have determined the cause of the incident, and are working to revert a change. The license accounts of the affected faculty are currently active only until 12/25/2023, but this will be fixed shortly.
