Services Impacted: Network Services

Description of Impact

BU (802.1x) and BU Guest Wireless networks are unavailable in certain locations within Kilachand Hall, Warren Towers, and The Towers (140 Bay State Road). Clients attempting to connect in these locations will not see either network when attempting to connect.

Service has been restored for Kilachand Hall, however there are still reports of service being unavailable in Warren Towers and The Towers (140 Bay State Road).

Additional Information

If you are in Warren Towers or The Towers and are unable to connect to BU (802.1x), you may still be able to use the wireless network, ‘eduroam’. Eduroam is functionally equivalent to BU (802.1x) and requires a full BU email (including the @bu.edu) for the username, and the regular kerberos for the password. More information on eduroam is available here.
