Exchange Email will be unavailable Sunday Aug. 9 from 12:01 – 8:00 a.m. EDT

In preparation for the move from Exchange to Office 365 later this fall, there will be a scheduled outage of the Exchange email service on Sunday morning, August 9th from 12:01 a.m. to 8 a.m. EDT. This outage does NOT affect BU Google Mail or bu.edu mail forwarded to another email service.

Exchange email users will not be able to access their Exchange mailbox during this early morning period. Your mailbox will still receive incoming mail.

The outage will conclude at 8 a.m. Sunday morning, at which point you should be able to receive and send emails as before. No change will be required on your part. Those using the web interface Outlook Web Access (xmail.bu.edu) will see a new login screen (as shown below). Once logged in, your mailbox will appear the same.
