Transitioning BU Wireless Network to Eduroam: Early Adoption Ecouraged

As part of our continuing effort to improve wireless service across campus, we will be transitioning our wireless network to eduroam, a global roaming wireless service accessible on campus and at participating institutions around the world. The transition will improve wireless security while allowing BU to continue to support the growing number of devices on the campus Wi-Fi network.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
As part of this initiative, we will retire the BU (802.1x) wireless network over Intersession. We are encouraging early adoption of eduroam and ask you to establish an eduroam connection on your devices by following these simple steps:

  1. From your computer or device, select eduroam from your list of available wireless networks.
  2. Log in to eduroam using your full BU email address (login@bu.edu) and BU (Kerberos) password.
  3. If prompted, accept, and trust the “radius.bu.edu” certificate for our server.
  4. Once you are connected to the eduroam network, Delete or forget the “BU (802.1x)” network.
