Resolved: Zoom Vanity Website Addresses Are Currently Unavailable

Description of Impact
Zoom vanity were temporarily unavailable. If people knew the meeting id they were able to use zoom.us/join via the web browser and then, when prompted, enter the Zoom meeting ID. Additionally people were able to put the Zoom meeting ID into the Zoom desktop application. The Blackboard and Sakai integrations remained available throughout this time.

The vendor has resolved the issues with vanity website addresses for Zoom.

Description of Impact
Zoom vanity are currently unavailable. If people know the meeting id they can use zoom.us/join via the web browser and then, when prompted, enter the Zoom meeting ID. Additionally people can put the Zoom meeting ID into the Zoom desktop application. The Blackboard and Sakai integrations are still working.

The vendor (Zoom) is aware of the issue and working on a resolution.

Workaround:
Get the meeting ID, a 9-11 digit string of numbers, from Blackboard or your meeting invitation.
- Example Meeting ID: 000-000-000 Example from Example Meeting Invite: https://bostonu.zoom.us/j/000000000
- In your web browser, visit https://zoom.us/join. Enter the Meeting ID when prompted. Zoom will launch and join the meeting.
You can also join directly by launching the Zoom application on your computer or phone and entering the Meeting ID when prompted.
