Description of Impact
Some clients were unable to download reports from BUworks. We have confirmed that clients using Internet Explorer and Firefox have encountered this issue.
Incident Description and Resolution
The workaround for anyone experiencing this issue is to: 1) Clear their IE browser cache following the instructions here: https://www.bu.edu/tech/support/browsers/clear-cache/windows/ 2) Under Internet Options, Security, Trusted Sites, add https://*.bu.edu to Sites in that menu 3) Finally, when downloading the Excel file, choose Save instead of Open
Additional Information
The cause of this incident was determined to potentially be a new Microsoft security patch.

We are investigating the use of Google Chrome as a possible workaround.
