Exchange E-mail Maintenance – UPDATED

As a next step in upgrading BU Exchange-based email services, the old and new servers were interconnected on Tuesday, August 2 between 2 AM to 6:30 AM EDT.
As a result of this server maintenance, some mail clients have been unable to connect to Exchange. If you find that you are unable to get email with your usual mail client, it should help to change the server setting from xmail.bu.edu to ex-legacy.bu.edu as a temporary measure until your account is migrated to the new Exchange 2010 server. We apologize for this unanticipated inconvenience.
IS&T will be back in touch in a few weeks to let Exchange subscribers know when their mailboxes will be moved to the new server. These moves will be scheduled from late August into September and FAQs have been posted in the Exchange section.
