Time of Resolution: 08:00am on 08/29/2013
Network Systems has rolled back a change that was implemented earlier this week and clients using OS X or iOS should now be able to use the native VPN support built into those operating systems.
If you continue to have issues, please contact the IT Help Center.
Previous Update
The built-in VPN client for Apple OS X and iOS is not currently working for BU VPN. VPN access is only available for these operating systems using the Cisco AnyConnect client.
Instructions for using AnyConnect for OS X are available here: https://www.bu.edu/tech/services/cccs/remote/vpn/use/mac/
The AnyConnect app for iOS is available from the iTunes App Store.
To configure the AnyConnect iOS app, first start the app on your iOS device and select OK to enable the software.
Click “Add VPN Connection..” and type in BU Off Campus
.
For the server address, type in vpn.bu.edu
and click the Save button.
Slide the switch next to AnyConnect VPN to the On position.
Enter your BU username and Kerberos password and click Connect.
