The Alumni Medical Library serves the faculty, staff, and students of the Boston University schools of Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Public Health, and the Boston Medical Center. Faculty, staff, and students of the Boston University Charles River Campus are eligible for most services. Members of the Boston Library Consortium (BLC) are also welcome to use the Medical Library, and are eligible for most library services, with a valid BLC Card.
Mugar Memorial Library

Mugar Memorial Library (the main Boston University library) and its branches have more than 1.6 million volumes. The library collections also include 20,800 serials and 2.7 million microform units. Its 130 electronic subscriptions provide users access to more than 12,000 full-text journals and other resources. It has strong collections in many areas of the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. Located in Mugar, the African Studies Library is one of the foremost collections of Africana in North America. Its history collection is broad-based and offers strong collections in several areas, including European medieval history, the US Civil War, and twentieth-century international and diplomatic history. In the humanities, areas of strength include English language materials in Renaissance, Northern and Italian Baroque, and modern art. The Science & Engineering Library, one of Mugar’s major branches, offers substantial holdings in electrical and computer engineering.
The Law Library collection has over 550,000 volumes and microform volume equivalents. The collections are primarily for research, although monographs will circulate to Boston University students.

This is a dedicated space for all of SPH’s students, featuring private rooms, TVs, lounge areas and a small kitchenette and food pantry.
You can fill out an application for a free SPH Locker Rental. If a locker isn’t currently available, you will be put on a waiting list and contacted as soon as something opens up.
Printing:
MyPrintis a print system managed by BU Information Services & Technology (IS&T). It provides accounting and printing capabilities for SPH students to print anywhereMyPrintstations are available, review a list of MyPrint stations on the medical campushere (including in Talbot and Crosstown).
How to use MyPrint
Graduate students are allocated 500 sheets per semester for black and white printing.
Once your allocation has been exhausted, a per sheet charge will be applied via theUniversity Convenience Pointssystem.
Black and white prints will be charged $0.08 per sheet for either single or double-sided printing.
The cost for color printing is $0.25 for single-sided or $0.40 for double-sided. (Convenience Points only, not included in semester print quota)
On the Charles River Campus, allocations will be reset each semester.Please note that unused allocations from the previous semester will not carry over
Getting Started
Step 1: First submit your print job via one of these two methods:
Alumni Medical Library (12th floor of the School of Medicine)
Boston University Medical Campus students are eligible to receive an Alumni Medical Library print/copy card containing 100 free pages (or the equivalent of 200 double-sided images) during EACH of the following two time periods: 1) January 1 – June 30, and 2) July 1 – December 31. The free pages can be picked up on any date during each of the two periods. Students must show a valid Boston University ID in order to receive their free pages. Print cards may be picked up at the Library Circulation Desk, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm. Print cards work in all printers in the Library and LRC.
Mugar Memorial Library (Charles River Campus)
Did you know BU graduate students get 500 free pages of printing per semester at the Mugar Memorial Library? Take advantage of this by visiting Mugar at 771 Commonwealth Ave. The BU Shuttle, which travels back and forth between the Medical Campus and the Charles River Campus, stops right near the library at the Marsh Plaza stop. Students can access their printing directly by simply logging into one of the Mugar computers with their BU Kerberos name and password.

BU Wellbeing Database
An easy-to-use list of campus resources that support all the dimensions of your wellbeing. You can search by wellbeing type (emotional, social, financial, spiritual, etc.), or program type (in person or remote) or student-type (graduate or undergraduate).
Food Security & Nutrition: BUMC Community Cupboard, Sargent Nutrition Center, Terrier Meal Share, and the BUSPH Community Cupboard: the Community Cupboard is located on the Med Campus at 109 Talbot East in the student lounge for SPH students. Faculty, students, and staff are invited to contribute to the pantry by donating nonperishable items and canned foods. Donations can be brought to the Talbot front desk or cupboard. Students can utilize the cupboard as needed.
