The Howard Thurman Center is Boston University's cultural center, based on the common ground philosophy of Dr. Howard Thurman.
The Center hosts cultural programs, activities and services designed to build community through self-exploration and shared experiences.
Our space in the lower level of the George Sherman Union is open and welcoming, so please
stop by to say hi and get a Thurman Center hug!

It's tea time! We're proud to announce our new TEA CLUB, a group of tea enthusiasts who will meet weekly to share and sample a variety of teas from around the world.
Members of the Tea Club can drop by anytime to sample any of the teas we have in stock, but we'll also host two weekly "Tea Times" - Mondays and Tuesdays from 1:30 - 2:30 PM.
You can attend both days or just one day a week - your choice. Tea Times will be both social and informative, including playing games, discussing different kinds of tea, and participating in various tea ceremonies.
In order to ensure commitment to the club, all members will be required to contribute one box of tea monthly. It can be anything from Lipton tea to something a bit more hard to find, as long as you bring something to share with the group.
Of course, membership has its privileges, so all members will receive a TEA-PASS which gives you 10% OFF every purchase at TEALUXE at 108 Newbury Street.
If you're interested in joining the club, have any questions, or would like to propose alternative tea times, please email: thurman@bu.edu.
