William McGue

A Certified Public Accountant, William McGue joined Boston University’s Metropolitan College in 2006 as a part-time lecturer teaching finance and accounting courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Mr. McGue has more than thirty years of professional experience in Boston’s financial services industry. From 1987 to 2005, he was managing director at Putnam Investments. Prior to that, he held positions as vice president of Boston Safe Deposit & Trust Company, vice president of Boston Financial Data Services, vice president and treasurer at New England Securities Depository Trust Company, and senior accountant at Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche). In 2012, he was named student coordinator for the Department of Administrative Sciences online programs at Metropolitan College. In this position, he counsels online students on academic and administrative areas of their programs. In 2016, McGue was promoted to the role of full-time lecturer, teaching finance and accounting courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a fellow at the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.
