Thank you for your interest in Boston University’s Metropolitan College. MET offers rolling admission for all degree and certificate programs, normally granted for September, January, and May of each year, with additional starts in October, March, and July for most online programs. Graduate Admissions Committees meet on an ongoing basis and admission decisions are made after a full evaluation of each candidate’s application materials.

Application Requirements
Applicants to master’s degree and graduate certificate programs must have earned a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution prior to enrollment.
Requirements for Complete Application for Admission
- Transcript(s) from each college and graduate school attended. Unofficial transcripts can be uploaded to your application. Official electronic transcripts will be required upon enrollment.
- A current résumé/CV.
- English proficiency exam (for international students): international students should review the English proficiency section of our international application page.
- Application fee:
- On-campus programs—a nonrefundable $85 for master’s degree applications and $25 for graduate certificate applications. Qualifying graduate applicants may be eligible for a fee waiver.
- Online programs—no application fee.
Letters of recommendation are not required for master’s and graduate certificate programs except for the following programs:
- One letter required:
- MS in Administrative Studies, Innovation & Technology
- MS in Applied Business Analytics
- MS in Enterprise Risk Management
- MS in Financial Management
- MS in Global Marketing Management
- MS in Insurance Management
- MS in Project Management
- MS in Supply Chain Management
- Two letters required:
- MA in Gastronomy
- Master of City Planning
- Master of Urban Affairs
Please note, GRE/GMAT exams are not required for admission to graduate programs at Metropolitan College.

Admitted students may defer their admission for up to one full year from their term of admission. To defer, admitted students must complete an
Enrollment Status Change Request.
