Embark on your BU onboarding journey with confidence! 

Campus Connects: Bridging BU is an in-person event that is in addition to a new hire’s virtual New Employee Orientation. Designed to help new employees explore university resources, meet representatives from various offices, learn more about navigating their career journey at BU, and connect with colleagues, these events are open to all recently hired faculty and staff.

Whether you started last week or a few months ago, you’ll benefit from the opportunity to build connections and learn more about what the university has to offer!

Please note these sessions are reserved for new employees who have attended the virtual new employee orientation hosted by HR. This event is not intended to replace the virtual new employee orientation.

The BU Women’s Guild BUWG promotes the scholarly, intellectual, and professional contributions that all those who identify as women make to BU. Offering engaging programs throughout the year such as seminars, workshops, art shows, cooking demonstrations, meetups, and more, membership is open to all BU faculty & staff.
Community & Inclusion Boston University Diversity & Inclusion (BU D&I) works closely with leaders across campus to build a positive and inclusive environment, to help ensure that not only are we more diverse, but also that pathways to success and participation are open to every member of the BU community.
Campus Planning and Operations CPO are dedicated to creating and maintaining a safe, welcoming, and sustainable environment that positively impacts and enables the teaching, learning, research, and student life activities at Boston University.
Employee and Labor Relations  EL/LR are your trusted partners across departments, offering expert support in problem-solving, mediation, and collective bargaining throughout the employee lifecycle.

LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff  “The Center” serves all BU campuses and engages the BU community to foster a sense of belonging and connectedness for faculty and staff; increase the visibility of the LGBTQIA+ resources, research, and scholarship; celebrate the contributions of the diverse LGBTQIA+ community at BU; and support the development of an inclusive and equitable workplace. 
Organizational Development and Learning  OD&L will be present to discuss professional development opportunities available throughout your career journey at BU.
Office of the Ombuds The Office of the Ombuds is a confidential, neutral, and independent resource providing informal assistance to faculty, staff, and students on the Charles River and Medical Campuses.
The Department of Physical Education, Recreation and Dance PERD supports the physical, social, and emotional well-being of the BU community through inclusive physical education, recreation, and wellness opportunities. Faculty and staff are invited to join the Fitness & Recreation Center (FitRec) to access premier facilities, classes, and programs designed to help you stay active and connected on campus.
The Staff Advisory Council  The Staff Advisory Council (SAC or the Council) was established to connect senior leadership with staff from around BU to help improve workplace culture and address staff concerns.
Sustainability Talk to a representative about how the university is working to transformation its planning, operations, and culture toward a sustainable and equitable future. 
Transportation Services Discuss your mobility option for the BU Community, including shuttle, transit, bicycle, and parking services.
