HR Systems

The Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS, or HR Systems) team provides support to users of our Human Capital Management system and HR-related data. We work closely with the managers, payroll coordinators, and timekeepers of schools and departments across the University by:

  • Providing guidance on departmental usage of the BUworks Central Portal, MyBUworks (the new mobile friendly portal), the Personnel Action (PA) & Organization Management (OM) forms, SAP GUI transactions, and Business Warehouse (BW) reporting.
  • Resolving system issues, such as errors and form crashes.
  • Providing reports and analytics of employee and departmental data, and the creation of key administrator e-mail lists from data stored in SAP.
  • Assisting with modifications and adjustments to departmental organizational structures (within SAP).

The HR Systems team often collaborates with our client base and Information Services and Technology (IS&T) on major projects, annual system upgrades and on enhancements or defect resolutions to current systems. HR Systems also acts as an intermediary between departments, employees and other sections of HR on policy and how it relates to the HR systems that are used.
