Prior to BU

My major in college was advertising, which I need to communicate with people from diverse background and always be curious about everything new for me. Plus, I am super interested in lifestyle, design, art and fashion, so I started my own page which shares my ideas about trips, books and lifestyles on a social media platform called Wechat. Moreover, I have been an intern in Hangzhou Daily newspaper group and Hubei TV station. Although those are all valuable experiences for me, I realized that maybe new media attracts me more and I hope I will have another opportunity to explore it deeply.

Why Public Relations

Communication matters, which is why I chose to learn media. Since I have studied advertising before, I found that only having command of how to create commercials is not enough for me, what I really want to know is how to establish an image for a brand and how to help corporations keep good connections with audience, government and other companies, which needs plenty of experiences. BU’s location in a metropolis, Boston, means there are a lot of chances are given. What's more, PR program has PRLab and study abroad projects, which allows me to be involved in real clients and other students who are also enthusiastic about this major as well as media industry. I'm eager to get to know youngsters from all parts of the world.

Most Looking Forward To

Urban life in Boston attracts me. Convenient transportation, popular restaurants, livehouse, museums and so on. Diversity. I want to make friends with different backgrounds and I like to know what peers from other places are thinking about. Love the feeling that we are actually exchanging totally different ideas. Network. I'd love to make new friends there, actually so excited about it. And getting to know awesome professors is great.

After Graduation

My dream is doing work related to PR in fashion companies, like online marketing or planning events.
