Dear Parents & Families,
Congratulations to all of our newly admitted BU students and their families! We want to be among the first to welcome you to the Boston University community and to the City of Boston! This is such an exciting time for you and your student and there is a lot to think about which is why we recommend referring to the Next Steps Checklist. Please also make sure that your student is reading their BU emails as the University will be sending them important information via email.
This summer parents and guardians will be invited to participate in our complimentary virtual Parent & Family Orientation sessions. You will receive an invitation to participate via email but please mark your calendar with session dates available here. Registration will go live later this spring. Your newly admitted student will also be invited to partake in Student Orientation sessions.
Also, a huge congratulations to our class of 2022! Commencement is just around the corner (May 22nd), but there are still some exciting events before the big day. BU will be hosting the first in-person Senior Breakfast in two years on Thursday, May 5th! Honorary degree recipients, the commencement speaker, and Senior week activities will all be announced at Senior Breakfast. For more information on Senior Breakfast and Commencement, please make your way to the websites.
We encourage you to stay in touch by signing up for our parent & family newsletter, the Terrier Times, to follow our Facebook page, and to sign up for BU Today, our campus newsletter. Please visit our Communication Guide to see they many ways you can connect with Boston University. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions and be sure to celebrate your student’s accomplishments (and your’s)! You have a lot to celebrate— graduation, family gatherings, and much more! (Staying on this topic, you may also want to read our latest Parent & Family blog post, High School Senior Celebrations.)
