Komal Pawar

Komal is a COM grad student (’21) from Mumbai, India, studying advertising. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mass media from Jai Hind College, Mumbai. Her innate curiosity has led her to explore areas of study beyond advertising such as journalism, media communications, transmedia narrative design, branding global cities, and even learning Spanish abroad on the other side of the world. Before joining the BU community, Komal completed her New Generations Service Exchange as an Ambassador of India to Barcelona, Spain, sponsored by Rotary International District 3142 in Mumbai, India. During her time as a Summer School Student at the University of Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, she realized her love for branding, creative concept development, and advertising. She aspires to pursue a career in International Advertising as well as serve a non-profit organization. As a Co-Chair of Academic Policy, she is eager to be a voice of the COM terriers and plans to explore how she can best address diversity and inclusivity at BU.
