Why I chose Emerging Media Studies at Boston University

The ability to develop analytical skills in social data and implement them with real clients to solve their challenges in various classes, from professors that have strong research and real world practice backgrounds as well as classmates around the world.

Experience & Plans For After Graduation

My past academic background and internship experiences taught me not only the development of a research design and the formation of conclusions from a scientific approach but also, most importantly, the impact of people’s beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors on their decisions. On top of taking the class, I also worked as a digital media intern at a global payment software company in the greater Boston area. The experience was rewarding and led me to a great range of opportunities in social media analytics, where I gained knowledge and developed strong interests. After graduation, I want to pursue a career in digital media that focuses on analyzing social data in order to generate meaningful consumer insights.
