Research Interests Summary:

I am primarily interested in the portrayal of LGBTQ individuals on television as well as in film. Additionally, how those representations intersect with online fan communities and fandom as a whole. My goal is to understand how this community has been allowed to evolve on screen over time and what limitations are still in place when using media to discuss the multitudes of the LGBTQ community.
