Barry Brodsky

Barry has taught film and theatre classes at Brandeis University, UMass/Boston, Lesley University’s low-residency MFA program, BU’s Film School, and at Emerson College. He was at Emerson for 19 years, the last 11 as Director of the Screenwriting Certificate Program. He has had several scripts optioned, and his short script nominated for Best Short Film at the Madrid International Film Festival. His stage plays have been performed across the US and in Canada. An army veteran, Barry also Directed a pre-college educational program for veterans at UMass/Boston while also teaching screenwriting and theatre classes in the Theatre Department. Barry was born, raised, and educated in Boston.
