Prof’s documentary wins top honors at film festival

Prof. Garland Waller's No Way Out But One, a documentary about a mother who resorts to kidnapping her children to save them from domestic violence, won best documentary at the Bare Bones International Film Festival in Muskogee, Okla.

Additionally, Waller, who co-produced the film with Barry Nolan and Toby Kleinman, was presented with a medal from Unmasking the P.A.I.N., an organization committed to ending domestic violence and child abuse.

"The festival is billed as the 'friendliest film festival in the country,'" Waller said, "and I really believe it must be."
