Students take home Mark of Excellence Awards

Three Boston University students won First Place in the Society of Professional Journalists' Region 1 Mark of Excellence Awards competition, announced by the SPJ on Monday, April 28, 2008. Neil St. Clair won for General Column Writing. Anupreeta Das won for Magazine Non-Fiction Article and Laura Morgenthau won for Online Opinion & Commentary.

BU swept the Magazine Non-Fiction Article category as Paul Crocetti took second and Melissa Beecher placed third. In the Best All-Around Independent Online Student Publication category, BU's Hypercube placed second.

The Comment won third place in the Best Student Magazine category.
