Executive Director – FOCUS Churches of Albany, NY, a dynamic and healthy nonprofit, set in the heart of the city, seeks a full time person to share our common call to hospitality, mercy and justice.
As God’s servant people, we are responding to Isaiah’s cry to repair the breach and loose the bonds of injustice. Growing from 4 progressive, protestant congregations at its founding to the present interfaith community of 12 congregations, we possess unique diversity, flexibility, stability and community commitment.
FOCUS offices are located one block from the heart of NYS government. Albany is also home to several colleges and universities, hospitals, conference and research centers. The city serves as a transportation hub just hours from Boston and New York City; is located on the picturesque Hudson River; and a short drive to the Catskill and Adirondack mountains.
The candidate we seek will have a passion for urban ministry and will take joy in working with over 150 volunteers and a staff of 12. Ordination desired but not required; administrative acumen and nonprofit management experience are required.
