Community Life Programs

The Community Life Office (Room B29, 617-353-1619) coordinates and promotes a variety of activities such as community life lunches on Wednesdays, special forums, and study breaks. The office is also a private place to share thoughts and concerns about seminary and life in general.
On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, the Office of Community Life provides coffee and tea for only 50 cents per cup in the School of Theology (STH) Community Center (B24) from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. All are invited to use the services of the Community Life Office. Regular office hours are posted at the beginning of each semester. Your questions or concerns are always welcome.
Programs
Community Lunch Program
Serves as a gathering place for faculty, staff, and students. The lunch which offers a time for fellowship and conversation is held on Wednesdays in the Oxnam Room (B-24) from 12:00-1:30 p.m. Each month student organizations under the auspices of the School of Theology Student Association (STHSA) and the School of Theology centers, such as the Center for Practical Theology and the Anna Shaw Center, offer lunch and conversation. Lunches are catered through University food services and meet the needs of vegans and vegetarians. The Office of Student Affairs and the Community Life Office occasionally hosts special events such as community celebrations.
Student Leadership Program
This program was created to recognize students who have demonstrated outstanding dedication in supporting community life during their term of study at the School of Theology.
Lifelong Learning
STH strives to keep religious leaders well equipped for serving a broken but hopeful world, offering many opportunities for continuing theological education in conversation with diverse students and world-class professors. Many are free, open to the public, and require no previous registration or experience. Visit our Lifelong Learning page to read more about these opportunities.
