Student-film accepted into Munich festival
Jac Woods, a 2008 COM graduate, is one of only two Americans whose films were accepted into the prestigious Munich Student Film Festival.
Woods' film, "A Simple Taste," tells the story of strangers who are connected in a coffee shop by the presence of a note that each believes is written for them. Woods made the film as an undergraduate as part of her Production III class. The film won a production grant based on a Fleder-Rosenberg finalist script.
The festival begins on November 15th. Films selected for the festival will be competing for 11 prizes totaling €56,500 (about $83,507 U.S. dollars). The film will be screened on Nov. 19 and 20.
