WBUR recently announced that Dan Guzman (C‘99) has been named senior producer of Morning Edition. In his new role, Dan will oversee all material and editorial content produced for Morning Edition by WBUR.
“Dan is an exceptional journalist and a rising star here at WBUR, where he has already worked for several years and helped shape some of our most important broadcasts,” said WBUR executive news director, Tom Melville. “He shares our commitment to providing high-quality, contextual stories and I’m delighted to have him in a leadership role on Morning Edition team, especially as we head into the 2016 election cycle. It’s going to be quite a year.”
Prior to being named senior producer of Morning Edition on WBUR, Dan spent three years as a senior writer on the Morning Edition team. Before he joined WBUR in 2012, he worked for a variety of stations, including WUSA-TV in Washington, D.C., KSDK-TV in St. Louis, and New England Cable News in Boston.
“I’m honored to take on this new and important role in the WBUR newsroom,” said Guzman. “Morning Edition is not only one of the market’s top-rated programs, but one of the world’s most respected news magazine shows. I look forward to continuing to work with this outstanding team to deliver smart, inquisitive news programming both on-air and online.”
