Hyunwoo Koo

Hyunwoo Han Koo (he/him/his) is pursuing his PhD in Practical Theology, focusing on the socio-cultural and religious experiences of Korean immigrants in the US, especially what queer Christians and allies are confronted with in Korean congregations. His research interests also include congregational studies, sociology of religion, and contextual theologies, such as queer theology. Prior to his current program, Hyunwoo studied at Boston University (MDiv) and Harvard University (MTS in Comparative Studies).
