Part Time Organist, Newton Highlands, MA

The Episcopal Parish of St. Paul is looking for a talented organist. The position is open now. The ideal candidate will be a proficient musician with some background in liturgical music, an understanding of the human voice and vocal training and techniques, a willingness to try new things, enthusiasm, flexibility, a commitment to excellent (albeit, not perfection), an abundant sense of humor, and a joy that surpasses all understanding. The job is roughly two Sundays a month – with the possibility of some special rehearsals and/or midweek services during the season of Advent and Lent. St. Paul’s is a relatively small, open and affirming parish with a small, but experienced, choir and a deep love and appreciation of music as an integral part of both the worship and the life of the parish. Compensation is $200-$300 per Sunday service, depending upon experience.
