Director of Chaplaincy & Programs, Part-Time: Waltham, MA

CHAPLAINS ON THE WAY
DIRECTOR OF CHAPLAINCY & PROGRAMS

Roles & Responsibilities

Reports directly to COTW’s Executive Director.
Builds and sustains trusting relationships with the unhoused community of Waltham.
Offers spiritual care, guidance and resources while respecting community members’ unique challenges and life experiences.
Oversees and coordinates all aspects of the breakfast and interfaith worship programs including but not limited to volunteer and contract chaplain scheduling.
Provides supports to the Waltham Community Leadership Group.
Participates/plans in community member memorial services and grief groups.
Mentors Divinity School intern chaplains.
Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Divinity, Religious Studies, Ministry, Theology or related field.
Demonstrated organizational skills.

Experience with any of the following helpful but not required

Interfaith/Movement chaplaincy experience.
Experience working with people living in poverty, homelessness, incarceration/re-entry, mental health and substance use disorders.
Community organizing experience.

This is a part time, salaried position paying $35,000-36,500 annually for approximately 26 hours per week. This is an in person position from 7-11 daily. We offer paid time off and retirement benefits.
