Museum Discounts & Reimbursement in Madrid and Across Spain

Students under 25 may be eligible for free or discounted admission at museums and cultural sites in Madrid. Eligibility and required proof vary by museum. BU Madrid will only reimburse the student-rate ticket for eligible museum visits.

To make sure you can access student or youth discounts, we recommend carrying:

• Valid photo ID (your state ID)
• Valid university/student ID
• Photo of your passport saved on your phone

What BU will reimburse as cultural activities:

Full ticket:

• Madrid Royal Palace, 9€. Buy your official tickets here.
• El Escorial, 7€. Buy your official tickets here.
• Mezquita Córdoba, 10€. Buy your official tickets here.
• Toledo Cathedral, 12€. Buy your official tickets here.

Up to 5€:

• Any National Museums in Madrid, up to 5€
• Outside of Madrid, maximum 3 museums per Spanish city, up to 5€
• Parque Güell, Casa Batlló, up to 5€
• 1 soccer game, up to 10€
• 1 bullfight, up to 5€

Other reimbursements:

• Alhambra, up to 15 €. Buy your official Alhambra Tickets here.
• Tourist pass bracelet in Toledo, up to 10€. Buy the pulsera here.
• Baños árabes in Córdoba and Granada, up to 10€

What BU will not reimburse, among other things:

• Museums such as Museo de la Tortura, Museo del Chocolate, etc.
• Temporary exhibitions
• Concerts
• Terraces and/or miradors
• Círculo de Bellas Artes
