Comparative historical study between Korean and Japanese Christianity and missions in the early modern period. Investigating themes such as transnational mission history, inculturation, interrelationship between Christianity and modernization (nation-building), cultural anthropological differences between western and eastern thoughts, and the role of missionaries as transnational agents.
