Courses taken at Boston University prior to enrolling at Boston University as a full time undergraduate student are considered “non-degree”. Students who enroll in a summer course the summer prior to starting a degree seeking program will be registered as a non-degree student for the summer term.

Students wishing to have their non-degree courses added to their full-time undergraduate career will need to go through the Internal Transfer Credit Process.

Students will fill out the Internal Transfer Credit Request Form (link). After filling out the Form, the Form must be submitted to the student’s advisor within their school/college for approval. Once approved, the advisor will send the approval to credeval@bu.edu for processing.

Please note, these courses will count toward your undergraduate career GPA. Once a course has been requested and moved to the undergraduate career, it is irrevocable.
