Alumni of the former Wheelock College (1888-2018)
Boston University and Wheelock College merged on June 1, 2018, and as a result, BU has assumed custodianship of the academic credentials issued by Wheelock College. Alumni of Wheelock College will request credentials from Boston University as of June 1, 2018. Wheelock College graduates may request a duplicate diploma by completing the Diploma Replacement Request Form and can mail, fax, or hand deliver it to the Office of the University Registrar. (Please note: due to Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards, we are unable to accept requests via email attachment.) The diploma replacement cost is $50.
Your Wheelock College replacement diploma will replicate your original Wheelock College diploma.
Boston University Alumni
Graduates may request a duplicate diploma by filling out the Diploma Replacement Request Form and mailing. faxing, or hand-delivering it to the Office of the University Registrar. Boston University is not responsible for diplomas which are lost or damaged during the mailing process. Appropriate fees will be assessed for duplicate diplomas requested under those circumstances.
The replacement cost is $50 for most diplomas. Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), and Doctor of Medicine (MD) diplomas are $75. The Diploma Replacement fee is payable by check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express.
Your replacement diploma will follow current BU diploma production templates.
If you wish your replacement diploma to display a different name than the one printed on your original diploma and the one in our records, you must also send a completed Name Change Form with your Replacement Diploma Form. The Name Change Form must be accompanied by official documentation of your new legal name (i.e., driver’s license, marriage certificate, court order, passport).
