The Office of the University Registrar will offer its services remotely.  Apostille requests are not available at this time, however you can review the instructions at the bottom of the page to independently manage this. The Apostille request form will be available on this page once we resume this service. 

notarized document is one that has been marked with a stamp or seal to indicate that a signature is legitimate. In the age of identity theft and lawsuits, this tells the recipient of the document that it is authentic and should not be deemed fraudulent.

We will only notarize Boston University documents produced by the Registrar’s Office which will validate the University Registrar or staff member’s signature. You must complete the below form to request notary services. Due to our remote operations we will only mail notarized documents. There is no option for walk-in requests or to pick up completed documents.

Notary stamps are required for documents to be Apostilled.
