Current course descriptions may be viewed in the Class Schedule. Search by college, department, and course number; or by instructor name, course subject, meeting time, or online status. A class subject/keyword search is also available.
Current students may print course descriptions from the Student Link (Academics/Classes option).
Course descriptions as of the 2010/2011 academic year can be found online through Bulletin Archives. Select the school/college of the course, the academic year, Courses option. You will be able to view course descriptions for each course that was offered by each department within a college.
Course descriptions prior to 2010 are not available online. If you require course descriptions prior to 2010, please submit a request to the Office of the Registrar at registrar@bu.edu. Please allow 5-7 business days for the processing of course description requests.
There is no charge for course description requests.
Please include the following information in your request.
- Course name and number, and the year it was taken (or indicate the request is for all Boston University courses completed)
- Full name, including any former names
- BU ID number
- Date of birth
- BU School/ College attended
- Dates of attendance
- Degree(s) awarded, if any
- Daytime phone number
- Email and mailing address
