In hosting #WorldAfterCorona, Dean Najam learned many things. Most importantly, he learned there is no “going back to normal.”
“Because of [COVID-19] we are now confronted with the necessity to break down those boundaries that we had so painstakingly constructed.”
“Despite these great challenges and uncertainties, young people like you…have an incredible opportunity to help construct a brighter future for your communities, for your country, and for our planet.”
During Boston University’s 2020 Alumni Weekend, the Pardee School and Center explored the future of global politics, global economics, and global values.
The Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range launched a new video series – The World After Coronavirus. The series features BU and world experts imagining what a post-COVID world might look like.
According to Dean Najam, “there is not going to be a world ‘after’ covid. A new world is already here.”
Dean Adil Najam was interviewed by multiple television news channels in Pakistan on the global response to COVID-19 and its possible global economic and political impacts.
Adil Najam gives a virtual presentation and leads a discussion on “Preparing for the Day After COVID” organized by the Aga Khan University (AKU), which attracted a large global audience, especially from South Asia and East Africa.
Adil Najam contributed to a strategic dialogue amongst experts imagining what a post-COVID-19 world might look like and what it might mean for Pakistan and South Asia.
