A Message to BU Pardee School Students from Ban Ki-moon

The Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future, an affiliate center of the Pardee School of Global Studies, recently concluded its “World After Coronavirus” (#WorldAfterCorona) video series, which featured interviews with global leaders on the post-COVID world. The final interview of the series was with Ban Ki-Moon, the 8th Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), about the future of the UN after COVID-19.

Following his interview, Ki-Moon offered words of wisdom to the students at Boston University regarding their role in crafting a better future for the world.

An excerpt:

Despite…great challenges and uncertainties, young people like you – students of Boston University – you have an incredible opportunity to help construct a brighter future for your communities, your country and our planet…I hope you will think big, think globally, be a global citizen…Only you can change this world for a better world.
