10/17: Prof. Belkin Martinez Joins Activism in Academia Faculty Panel

Clinical Professor Dawn Belkin Martinez, PhD, of Boston University School of Social Work (BUSSW) joins a panel of BU faculty at the College of Arts & Sciences’ in-person Activism in Academia event. Panelists will share their approaches to integrating activism into their academic work and answer questions about how to be an activist from within an academic institution, challenges they’ve faced, and how their identities impact their activism.
Prof. Belkin Martinez, a clinical social worker and nationally recognized expert on anti-oppressive social work practice, is the associate dean for equity and inclusion at BUSSW and a founding member of the Boston Liberation Health Group, which provides training and mentorship in anti-oppressive social work practice to over 2,500 social workers across the country.
