Professor Gallagher offered comments on President Xi Jinping’s announcement that China will end its support for new coal power projects overseas in multiple global publications including Associated Press, Forbes, Quartz, The New York Times, The Independent, and Aljazeera.
Professor Gallagher joined a team of global researchers and policy experts to explore how environmental governance of China’s overseas activities is implemented, international lessons for greening the BRI, and policy recommendations for China.
Professor Gallagher joined global experts to discuss the impact COVID-19 has had on SDG implementation, whether the international community is on track to meet the 2030 deadline, as well as the need for renewed multilateralism and buy-in from advanced economies in emerging markets and developing countries.
