Julianne Moore
Academy Award winner Julianne Moore (CFA’83) was honored with Brookline’s Coolidge Corner Theatre Coolidge Award April 25. At a Q&A moderated by theater CEO Kathy Tallman (right) after the screening of her latest film, Gloria Bell, Moore talked about her passion for playing relatable characters and mentioned seeing the 1977 cult classic Eraserhead at the theater while a BU student. Among previous winners of the Coolidge Award, which recognizes a film artist who “advances the spirit of original and challenging cinema,’’ are Meryl Streep, Michael Douglas, and Viggo Mortensen.
