USA Gymnastics Names BUSSW’s Julie Springwater to New Board of Directors

After tapping BU School of Social Work adjunct associate professor and macro chair, Julie Springwater, to its interim board earlier this year, the organization has now named the professor to its newly seated Board of Directors.

Springwater brings a macro social work background that includes child welfare policy, workforce development, positive youth development, and human service agency leadership. In addition to her work at BUSSW, Springwater is also the chair of governance for the Child Welfare League of America; executive director of the New England Association of Child Welfare Commissioners and Directors, housed in Boston’s Judge Baker Children’s Center; and advisory board member for the Massachusetts Association for Families.
