Prof. Sprague Martinez Hosts Speaker Series on Community Engaged Research at BU’s Clinical & Translational Sciences Institute

Associate Professor Linda Sprague Martinez will welcome new presenters to the virtual stage each month as host of the 3rd Thursday Community Engaged Research Speaker Series.
An initiative of Boston University’s Clinical & Translational Sciences Institute (BU CTSI), the speaker series showcases a diverse array of experts – including community partners, research groups, faculty and BU deans – sharing their applications and approaches to community engaged research.
Prof. Sprague Martinez, an expert in community-based participatory research, serves as host in her role as co-lead of BU CTSI’s Community Engagement Core.
The next event in the speaker series is “Integrating Community Input into Policy, Practice and Research to Advance Equity in Boston,” happening March 3, 2022, at 5:00pm (rescheduled from Feb. 17). A discussion about sharing power and co-creating knowledge within institution-community partnerships, the event will feature four panelists: Dr. Bisola Ojikutu, executive director of the Boston Public Health Commission, and members of BU CTSI’s Health Equity in Covid Research Community Advisory Board (CAB), Dora Green, Kareem King, and Chloe Miller.
All are welcome to attend, and participants are encouraged to submit questions via the registration form here.
