CADER’s five-course Behavioral Health in Aging Certificate trains senior center staff to assist older adults who may be in need of mental health services. Designed with guidance from senior center staff, the certificate provides a foundation in the major mental health conditions facing the aging population. Professionals will finish the course with an understanding of the importance of behavioral health care, and how to screen and assess clients to provide evidence-based support.”
The Center for Aging & Disability Education & Research (CADER) has trained more than 25,000 health and social service professionals and worked with more than 500 organizations across the country to strengthen the workforce that provides health and long-term supports and services to older adults and people with disabilities.
