BUSSW Faculty, Students & Alums Share Expertise at 2022 NASW-MA Symposium

Faculty, students and alumni from Boston University School of Social Work (BUSSW) will share their expertise this week at the virtual 2022 Social Work Symposium hosted by the National Association of Social Workers Massachusetts Chapter (NASW-MA).
Following this year’s theme, “Focusing on the Future: From Social Change to Climate Change,” members of the BUSSW community will lead workshops and panel discussions that advance social work methodology and discourse to meet the needs and challenges of tomorrow. Beginning with a post-keynote panel discussion on social work and environmental justice moderated by Prof. Dawn Belkin Martinez, BUSSW faculty, students and graduates will also lead workshops on racial oligarchy and abolition democracy, the importance of non-stigmatizing language, private practice finances, how and why social workers should integrate voter engagement into their practice, and much more.
In addition to the robust program schedule, BUSSW will be present at the virtual booths as a premier exhibitor. The virtual booth will include program materials and a live chat function connecting attendees with our Network for Professional Education team.
